European Sales Manager - Test and Measurement devices Flexible UK home base Attractive Salary & BenefitsCLIENT - global leader in the measurement market, providing customers with a single source for the measurement of load, pressure, position, torque and vibration. They design and manufacture one of the broadest and most comprehensive product lines of pressure transducers, load cells and electronic sensor instrumentation. Client is keen to expand outside North America, with a focus on Europe and Asia Pacific. Over the past few years, Europe has shown strong growth across the regions.
ROLE European Sales Manager reporting to the EMEA Sales Director, responsible for:-
* Test & Measurement sales drive in Europe to meet goals set in the strategic plan
* Positioning client as a leader in the European Test and Measurement marketplace.
* Analysing the European test and measurement marketplace, the OEMs, the competitors and customer buying behaviours and to help the clients sales team develop strategies to grow European sales
* Helping define and implement these European sales and marketing strategies.
* Assisting in developing and supporting a repair and calibration business in Europe
* Assisting in refining current and developing new channels for both Capability customers (unique requirements and specs) as well as Convenience buyers (small lots via catalog or rep channels)
* Assisting in developing and managing an EMEA wide sales network, consisting of direct (OEM) and indirect (Authorized distributors, reps) channels
* Helping existing distributors throughout Europe obtain their sales goals for the year through training and new business development.
* Soliciting business from accounts classified as direct and to visit customers with and without the help of the local distributor to get orders.
* Setting annual goals and business growth targets for each of the European distributors
* Assisting in developing marketing and promotional strategies for the clients marketing team and mar-com team to implement
PERSON SPEC - Higher weighting more important* 10 - Multi-country European sales experience in Test and Measurement sector for products including load cells/pressure sensors
* 10 - High-energy person with the ability to enthuse other members of the sales team to achieve stretch sales goals
* 10 - Strong personal ethics around customer, team, work sales
* 10 - Self motivated and able to work without daily supervision
* 10 - Think "out of the box" and develop large step growth opportunities by identifying suitable acquisition candidates or sales partner.
* 10 - Specific market knowledge in one or more of the following markets automotive, aerospace, oil & gas.
* 10- Channel experience- ideally all of distributors, reps and direct selling - distribution a must
* 9 A bachelors degree or equivalent, ideally a mechanical/electrical engineer
* 9 - Good conceptual intellect, to understand complex sales and marketing issues and strategize solutions that involve teams inside and outside the sales department - and deliver
* 9 - Previous Sales Engineer in European Test and Measurement sector (both strategic and tactical experience) - technically proficient to assimilate and then disseminate product/application information to the European distributors and customers
* 9 - IT literacy Strong experience in MS Office and a contact database manager
* 9 - Happy to travel extensively in strategic markets with a minimum of 80% field sales time
