DRUCK
announce a new compact rack mounting Air
Data Test System, fully compatible with existing ATE (Automatic
Test Equipment) systems used throughout the aerospace industry.
Accuracy is compliant with the latest industry standards for
RVSM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minima).
The ADTS 403 is a dual-channel Ps and Pt automatic pressure
controller used for the precision calibration/verification of
aircraft pitot-statics. Programmable for fixed or rotary wing
civil aircraft, the ADTS 403 enables vital pressure based flight
instrumentation to be quickly, safely and accurately tested.
This includes altimeters, airspeed indicators, rate of climb
indicators, mach meters and air data computers.

GEMS
SENSORS has announced the introduction of the
MiniMap compact pressure transmitter, which is specially designed
for installation where space is at a premium.
From 25mm long, the transmitter features a sputtered thin film
sensor
to provide consistent high levels of performance and stability
for large
volume users. As Gems Sensor's thin film sensor is atomically
bonded
onto metal substrate, the transmitter virtually eliminates drift
- whilst
offering enhanced sensitivity.
The MiniMap is supplied in range from 16 to 2200 bar but with
the
onboard ASIC can be set to any intermediate range or Engineering
unit and has a very long fatigue life - offering more than 100,000,000
cycles. Long term drift is just 0.1% FS/year, while accuracy
is 0.25% FS.
The unit also has a thermal error margin of around 2% FS, with
a
compensated temperature range of -20 to 100 degrees C.

To
complement their existing range of transducers and
instrumentation for load, pressure and torque measurement,
APPLIED MEASUREMENTS LTD. now offer a comprehensive
series of LVDT displacement transducers from
Monitran Ltd., with whom they now have a UK distributor
agreement.
The AML displacement transducers fall into three main categories
of miniature, standard and industrial. Over these series,
measurement ranges from ±0.5mm up to ±550mm are
available
with output choices of mVac, 0-5Vdc, 4-20mA and ±2.5Vdc.
For a complete calibrated measuring system, Applied
Measurements also supply associated instrumentation including
the LVDTA-1 analogue conditioning unit and the ADP15, a
microprocessor-based digital readout instrument with versatile
signal conditioning control.

Now
available from AUDON ELECTRONICS is the CPS
Plus software that captures serial data directly from any RS232
instrument or device into any Windows application.
CPS Plus captures serial data, custom tailors it to your needs,
then
transfers the data to any Windows application - either by sending
keystrokes to the application's window or by passing the data
through DDE (Dynamic Data Exchange) conversations
Collect data from Scales and Balances, Gauges, pH meters,
Electrochemistry Meters, Laboratory Instruments, Sensors,
Densitometers, GPS Receivers, Barcode Scanners, Magnetic
Stripe readers, ID Tag Readers, Temperature Controllers etc...
any RS232 instrument or device. Data can be automatically
transferred directly into EXCEL, ACCESS, LIMS, MMIs, Statistical
and Maths software, VB, etc... any Windows application program
in
real time.
The program can be downloaded from Audon Electronics website,
www.audon.co.uk/cpsplus.html and tried for free for 40 days.
Price is only £55 !

SENSOR TECHNOLOGY
LTD. announces that, after more
than 10 years of development, a range of Rayleigh Wave
TORQSENSE (RWT) transducers is now available.
Their experience of working with this relatively simple patented
technology also means that it can now be embedded into OEM
products.
A family of TORQSENSE transducers is now available in 7 sizes
measuring torque from 100mNm up to 10,000 Nm at Full Scale Deflection
with smaller ranges having speeds up to 30,000 rpm.

PICO
TECHNOLOGY, the PC-based instrument firm, has
added a three channel AC current monitoring device
to its range of data acquisition and data logging products.
The ELO4O unit is supplied as part of a mains supply monitoring
kit
and is suitable for measuring single and 3-phase supplies as
well as
machine monitoring, balancing 3-phase supplies and carrying out
energy efficiency studies. The mains supply monitoring kit contains:
the power monitor, an EnviroMon data logger, three current clamps,
a network cable and a power supply. It can be used to monitor
up to
three AC signals from the outputs of the AC current clamp transformers
(TAO I I). Up to ten units can be connected to an ELOO5 data
logger
by using a network cable (with a maximum length of 400m).

8).
XSENS,
the Netherlands based innovator in motion
technology, has announced the introduction of the
MT9, the first in a series of motion trackers.
The MT9 provides accurate and real-time absolute 3D orientation
data,
without the use of any external source or camera. Even more unique
is
the full elimination of drift in the measured orientation, enabling
long
measurement times without loss of accuracy.
Casper Peeters, CEO of Xsens: "The combination of quick,
real-time
response, the highest accuracy and the size of a matchbox makes
it
applicable in almost any area where motion tracking is necessary.
Whether it is for rehabilitation, ergonomics, Virtual and Augmented
Reality or sports, the MT9 is the perfect tracker of human movement".
