NEW PRODUCT RELEASES
======================
1). XSENS TECHNOLOGIES, supplier of miniature motion sensors,
announced the MT9 Software Development Kit for Linux and Windows.
The MT9 is a match-box sized inertial measurement unit that measures
3D rate-of-turn, acceleration and earth-magnetic field. It is now available
in a Software Development Kit (SDK) for Linux and Windows, which
includes C/C++ and more sample source code, for easy integration
of the 3D orientation algorithm in your application.

2). GEFRAN CRL LTD. presents a new series of Absolute Linear
Displacement Transducers specifically designed
for use under extremely severe environmental conditions.

These new Displacement Transducers, called PME and PMI,
are the result of constant analysis of market demands and of
GEFRAN's 20 years of experience in potentiometer technology,
thanks to which our products always provide maximum performance.

As opposed to traditional Displacement Transducers with IP65
protection level, this new series, designed typically for oil-pressure
cylinders, is completely sealed and guarantees an IP67 or IP68
protection level.

3). OMEGA ENGINEERING introduces the PHCN-201, a
simple-to-operate pH controller specially designed for applications
where space or costs are a major concern.
Thanks to its compact size of only 8 by 5 cm (3 X 2"), PHCN-201
can be mounted in confined spaces and is ideal for high packing
densities. The low cost of the meter will also make it possible
for processes that up to now were manually maintained to be
controlled automatically, saving considerable time and money.
Price Starts at £99

4). The new M-Series range of compact humidity/temperature
transmitters from ROTRONIC with an extensive choice of
features and configurations, make the range suitable
for most measurement and control applications throughout
industry.
The M-Series uses digital signal processing with the innovative
HygroClip probe and a new custom designed ASIC chip.

Three types are offered in the series...

M1 is a basic transmitter with fixed probes for wall and duct
installation. It incorporates an integral digital interface to which
a hand-held device can be connected for test and calibration
functions.
M2 is similar to M1, but has the ability to interchange probes,
either to simplify maintenance/calibration, or to change its
application.
The top-of-the-range M3 transmitter incorporates many advanced
options. The standard measured values of %rh and °C can be
converted into different humidity parameters such as dewpoint
or enthalpy, and then output as an analogue signal in combination
with either %rh or °C. Measurement data can also be transmitted
using a serial output (RS232/485) or via radio communication.
Signal output choice includes 0...1V, 0...5V, 0...10V, 0-20mA or
4-20mA.

5). New Acoustics & Vibration Training Courses.
The 2003 programme of acoustics and vibration training courses
is announced by Brüel & Kjær UK, the international acoustics
and vibration specialist. The 2003 course series is focused at
engineers and technicians looking to improve their theoretical
knowledge of acoustics and vibration technologies. Many of the
courses will feature hands-on training with state-of-the-art
instrumentation.
For the first time Brüel & Kjær UK and Endevco will co-host a
Sound & Vibration Technical Symposium (20 21 May 2003)
that will feature courses such as the Principles of Acoustics
and Sound Measurement and the Principles of Vibration and
Measurement supported by a series of application-focused
seminars including: Automotive Solutions, Modal Analysis,
Sound Power, Transducers and Conditioning as well as the
popular PULSE Platform multi-analyser system.

6). Latest IS family of intrinsically
safe accelerometers, or vibration sensors, for use in a
wide range of applications in Group I and Group II
hazardous areas.
Designed, developed and manufactured by the company in the
UK, the new accelerometers incorporate a number of features
that will help end users in the petrochemical, quarrying and
mining industries improve the reliability, performance and
safety of operating equipment.
The latest IS family of products includes the 1107IC, 1100IC
and 1185IC. Each has full ATEX and EEx approval, is constructed
throughout from stainless steel and is sealed to IP67.
