1). 
- Just released
is the new 1100QW, a compact
industrial accelerometer which can operate completely
submerged to a depth of 100 metres making it ideal for
vibration monitoring of underwater pumps, roll bearings
in the continuously wet conditions of paper mills and
applications where rotating machinery is experiencing
outdoor weather conditions.
The new vibration sensor is much smaller than previous models
being a considerable 45% less in size and weighing just 120 grams,
30 grams lighter than before. These reductions allow the
MTN1100QW to be used in more confined spaces.

2). - Colibrys announces
the availability of their new MS7000
MEMS capacitive accelerometer.
Customers with Guidance and Inertial Navigation
applications that critically rely on bias stability under
extreme operational conditions can find today the
accelerometer they have been looking for.
This product has been designed mainly for Guidance and
Navigation applications but the benefits of bulk capacitive
micro-machined technology make it also ideal for a wide
range of other industrial applications.

3). - GE Druck announces
a new expanded series of
Industrial Pressure sensors which combine their
precision silicon sensing element and modular
mechanical design with the latest advances in
ASIC technology and surface mounted electronics.
This provides a compact, high performance and competitively
priced measurement solution, readily configured for industrial
applications.
Modular design features a standardised "core", selected
and
finished according to customer requirements. The 7500 series
is now available with a choice of 2 wire /4-20mA "transmitter"
configuration (PTX7500), alternatively 3 or 4 wire voltage output
proportional to pressure span (PMP7500). Operating ranges
extend from 100mbar up to 700 bar gauge or absolute in user
preferred pressure units and intermediate span values can be
specified between these limits.

4). - Penny &
Giles Controls has developed a new family
of rugged sealed rotary sensors for the motorsport
and industrial markets. Designed for high reliability
in extreme temperature, high vibration and shock
environments, the new Control Plus series offers
a range of innovative features which overcome the
hortcomings of competitive products and set a new
standard of reliability for the industry.
Rotary sensors are used widely in motorsport for position
monitoring in computerised control systems such as automated
gear changers, fuel control systems, suspension and steering
monitoring. The harsh conditions to which they are routinely
subjected commonly lead to problems with signal continuity
as a result of broken casings, intermittent shaft contact or
ingress of dust or moisture. Other complaints from the
industry include inadequate sensitivity and lack of flexibility
with mounting and connection options.

5). - The Danfoss
range of temperature sensors is based on
decades of global experience within the marine industry

6). - RDP has answered
the demand for a truly submersible
transducer which measures small displacement variations with
the launch of their short-stroke DCW range of LVDTs.
This new group of sensors has been designed for displacement
measurement ranges of between ± 2.5mm to ±10mm
with the
capability of operating at pressures up to 10 bar. Alternative
electrical connection options are available to extend the DCW's
pressure handling to 206 bar.
The new DCW transducers are ideal for a broad range of wet,
hazardous conditions such as paper making, valve and sluice
position applications, structure monitoring and underwater cable
laying.
