1). Digital
pressure sensors offer high overall accuracy.
Sensortechnics'
new DSDX series features a digital
12-bit output signal and offers OEM customers
cost-effective pressure measurement from
1 psi (70 mbar) to 100 psi (7 bar).
Important features of the new DSDX series are:
* Pressure ranges from 1 psi (70 mbar) to 100 psi (7 bar)
* Absolute, differential and gauge pressure measurement
* Digital 12-bit output signal via I2C-bus
* Overall accuracy of ±0.5 to ±2 %FSS
* Temperature compensated from ?10 to +85 °C
* Small DIP-packages

Low profile Vibration Sensor looks after spindles.
A spindle
is a motor-driven or motorised precision
shaft that both positions and transmits power to a
tool or holds a work piece.
In order to keep the spindle operating at its optimum performance,
it is usually monitored by sensors for vibration, speed and temperature
variations. Any change in operating patterns can then be detected,
allowing corrective work to be carried out so avoiding costly
machine
down-time or failure.
With its low profile allowing it to be used where access is limited,
the latest 1830 vibration sensor is ideal for spindle monitoring.
The single stud fixing allows for easy mounting of the sensor.

3).
Programmable Pressure Transmitters.
Trafag
has launched a new range of programmable
pressure transmitters using a piezoresistive measuring
element, scalable down to as low as 25% and within
-5% to +105% of the nominal range.
Any nominal range can be supplied from 0 -100mbar up to
0 - 1000bar. These new transmitters use a 2-wire 4-20mA
output, the range being adjusted via a PC interface using
customised software which also incorporates an adjustable
delay of up to 10 seconds. These instruments are very versatile
with almost any process connection and electrical connection
available, a submersible IP68 level transmitter being one
example, and reverse polarity and short circuit protection is
also included.

LogBox, a small rugged 2-channel Data Logger.
Now available
from Audon Electronics is the LogBox,
a small rugged 2-channel stand alone datalogger.
This logger has up to 2 universal analogue input channels
which can accept mV, 4-20mA, most thermocouple types
and Platinum Resistance Thermometers.
The LogBox accurately records the input channels with 12-bit
resolution and stores them in non-volatile memory. Over 8000
readings can be stored per channel. Log rates can be set from
0.5 seconds to 30 days. The logger is completely self-contained,
and the internal battery can last for typically over 1000 days.
The
logger is housed in a small rugged IP65 plastic enclosure with
signal cable entry via a side mounted cable gland. An IP68 rated
version can be supplied to special order.

Temperature transmitter functions as controller.
The T5350
temperature transmItter is certified
according to the Fieldbus Foundation and offers
the functions of Link Active Scheduler (LAS) and
PID control, with which process control functions
can be realised in the field. For PROF/BUS PA
the T5350 features the current profile 3 and is
also certified.
All standard temperature sensors, such as PtlOO resistance
sensors or thermocouples can be connected to the input.
For use in potentially explosive atmospheres Ex-approvals
according to ATEX are available, and the FISCO and FNICO
requirements are met as well.
