The contactless passive multifunctional sensors - the smallest sensor in the world

RVmagnetics introduces the future of wireless measuring with their smallest passive sensor of physical quantities in the world. Sensor is thin and elastic like a human hair, sends accurate real time data, regarding wide range of the physical quantities directly to a smartphone. Able to contactlessly measure temperature, pressure, pull, stress, torsion, position and other physical quantities of your material.

Affordable and quick to manufacture, passive measuring is based on microwire technology and magnetic fields, with no need for power supply. Sensors elasticity, anti-corrosiveness and indestructability grants added value on the market.

Thanks to their size, they can be embedded to almost any material without affecting its property.

Microwire sensors can find their use in variety of applications and industries. Currently used in IoT and industry 4.0, and also in medicine and construction areas. RVmagnetics works closely with European and Asian customers on specific customized projects based on clients' needs.

Clients benefits lies in affordable sensors that can make from ordinary material a smart one. Thanks to their size, low power consumption and contactless measuring they do not cause any defect for material. In the end, the goal is to obtain a high added value - self-diagnosed material with effective predictive maintenance, where companies can save up to 30% of materials costs.

For advanced engineering RVmagnetics sensor can help to bring quality check and control to weld monitoring during and after the manufacturing process. Sensor is used for various application to monitor structural health and also to predict different cracks, temperature rise in bearings and other materials, humidity and prevent unwanted outcomes.

The founder himself has more than 20 years of experience in fundamental and applied research in magnetism. He has been working with microwires for a long time and now with his theoretical and practical knowledge he is helping to create smarter world. He is backed by a team of professionals with a combined experience of more than 30 years from various field in chemistry, engineering and electronics. The company is 4 years old and has background with a strong team with valuable practical experience.

RVmagnetics sensor is a truly unique and accurate way to measure physical quantities.

Indeva intelligent handling solutions improving production lines throughout the world.

For almost 50 years Scaglia Indeva has been providing highly innovative intelligent handling solutions to major manufacturers throughout the world. These solutions are the result of continued investment in skilled people, design, research and development and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Brembrilla, Italy.

Indeva leads the world in the design and manufacture of industrial manipulators with a range of advanced manipulators that are combined with bespoke gripping devices designed for specific and sometimes complex lifting requirements. Compatible with Lean Manufacturing principles, this range of lifting equipment enables increased productivity with enhanced flow of production lines, which in turn is proven to optimise limited space, eliminate waste and reduce costs.

From the beginning, ergonomics and safety has been at the core of Indeva's design function, and all manipulators are designed to reduce operator strain and injury in either heavy or repetitive lifting situations. This increases employee wellbeing and can have a dramatic effect on reducing absenteeism and lost operational hours through illness or injury.

A new generation of industrial manipulators

At the heart of Indeva's lifting devices is intelligent electronic control which provides faster, more reactive control combined with enhanced sensitivity to even the smallest movement of the controls by the operator, giving him or her far greater direction and a high level of safety. The hardware and software architecture, together with the ergonomic design of the end effectors and gripping tools significantly improves operator wellbeing and reduces the risk of work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WRMSDs).

As well as a range of advanced electronic manipulators, Indeva also manufactures a range of pneumatic devices, various components and Industry 4.0-ready products to offer customers the most complete range of material handling equipment on the market.

Dust extraction specialist set to exhibit at UK's premier engineering event

Dustcontrol UK is set to exhibit its range of centralised vacuum systems at the tenth anniversary of the Advanced Engineering show.

Taking place on Wednesday, October 31st and Thursday, November 1st at the NEC, Birmingham, the Dustcontrol team will be showcasing the firm's powerful DC-11 Modules at Stand Q72.

The DC 11-Module, which comes in several models, is an optimised stand-alone unit for source extraction and industrial cleaning. It has been designed to service up to six normal extraction points or several cleaning outlets at a time, and is modularly built, meaning it can be tailor-made to suit any engineering environment.

James Miller, Managing Director of Dustcontrol UK, said: "The Advanced Engineering exhibition is always an exciting event for those in the industry. We're looking forward to the much-anticipated event and will be hosting live demonstrations of our vacuum systems to showcase their impressive dust extraction capabilities."

The company, based in Milton Keynes, has over 45 years of experience in developing dust extraction solutions and centralised vacuum systems to fit client requirements in the engineering industry. They are experts in capturing dust at its source - both where and when it's created.

Advanced Engineering is the UK's largest gathering of original equipment manufacturers and supply chain partners from the aero engineering, automotive engineering, composites engineering, connected manufacturing, performance metals engineering and contract manufacturing industries.

James concluded: "Advanced Engineering will provide us with an excellent opportunity to show the industry how we can help businesses stay healthy through the use of efficient dust extraction."

GOM welcome new addition to ATOS family

The fifth generation of ATOS sensors for fast 3D scanning over large measuring areas.

New for 2018 the ATOS 5 and ATOS 5X are the latest high-speed systems of the ATOS family. The robust sensors are fast and precise following the introduction of new features and developments. The Blue Light Equalizer has been especially developed for the light source in the ATOS 5 to make the systems independent of ambient light conditions. The ATOS 5X takes this a step further with the introduction of a laser light compressor to generate ultra-bright light for the scanning process. More speed and light in the cameras allows for a shorter exposure time, with scan times down to 0.2 seconds per measurement and 100 frames per second, ATOS 5X gives optimal high-speed high precision data capture.

Andrew Cuffley, Managing Director at GOM UK says "enjoying an owner-manager-development unit in control of both software and hardware means that our technology can be released when it is absolutely ready and not just when it suits the shareholders. The speed and overall performance of these latest sensors is allowing us to deliver great data for the most challenging applications".

As a result of this new technology both systems achieve high-precision data for a diverse range of manual and automated applications, from tools and moulds to plastic and metal parts. With the ability to scan small scale items such as aerofoil components up to full car body inspection, the ATOS 5 is flexible and capable over multiple applications. At the same time, fixture design can be simplified as a larger surface is captured and fewer reference points are required. During the measuring procedure, acquisition times of down to 0.2 seconds are reached.

The trend for automated measuring is supported by installing the ATOS system inside an ATOS Scanbox. This option combines all the functions in one automated measuring machine. By utilising the Virtual Measuring Room software, the measurement environment is represented in a virtual simulation. All robot movements are simulated and checked for safety before being performed in the actual environment.

Five technology leaps were made before the latest generation of ATOS sensors were developed. Process application and increased process reliability are paramount for the latest and future applications.
