Keighley Laboratories supports Bradford Manufacturing Week
Keighley Laboratories are pleased to have supported Bradford Manufacturing Week which has been hailed a success by organisers West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
The series of events attracted students from more than half of the district's schools, offering meaningful experiences for students involved.
Debbie Mellor, Managing Director of Keighley Laboratories, joined a panel of local manufacturers who answered questions from students on topics including the future of manufacturing, career paths for engineering and apprenticeship opportunities.
And Prime Minister Theresa May, expressed her support for the week long initiative describing it as a "great opportunity" to showcase future job prospects and careers for young people in the area.

Farécla Products are pleased to announce that the winning bonnet of their first ever Apprentice & Student Bonnet Painting competition will be on display at their Advanced Engineering 2018 stand (Q145) with an award ceremony on Wednesday 31st at 12:30pm.
Launched in National Apprenticeship Week in March 2018 - the Apprentice & Student Bonnet Painting Competition was devised to highlight, encourage and reward young talent within the UK automotive refinish industry.
Farécla were hugely impressed with the number and high standard of finished bonnets submitted throughout the competition and the skills demonstrated in each entry.
Elliot Campbell (24) of the Figaro Shop (Didcot) was declared the winner live on Farécla's facebook on October 3rd by AkzoNobel's Global OEM Technical Program Manager and Chairman of Judges (joined by Nationwide Crash Repair's Daryl Head - silver medallist at the last World Skills in Abu Dhabi and Tom French - Brand Manager & Graphic Designer at Farécla).
David-John Cousins, Marketing & Sales Assistant at Farécla explained: "The Farécla stand (Q145) is a gallery of beautiful exhibits created by our customers (including The Cambridge Drum Company and Davida Helmets), all of them polished with Farécla products, so Elliot's bonnet is a perfect addition to the collection - representing Farécla's notable history within the automotive sector, as well as its support for young people entering the industry."
The competition judges will be presenting Elliot with a cheque for £1000, a Farécla polishing machine and a complete set of Farécla polishes including the NEW Farécla G360 Super Fast System on Stand Q145 at 12:30 on Wed 31st October 2018.
