Autonnic launches NEW IP68 Compass Sub-system at METS, Amsterdam - November 08, 2011
We are pleased to announce at METS 2011 a new series of IP68 electronic compasses of which the A5022 is the entry-level product in the range and builds on the success of the A5020 which it replaces.
After making thousands of the original A5020 it was clear to us that a further investment in tooling, electronics and software could be justified to add the following benefits:
Improved IP rating to IP68
Improved UV stabilized materials
Internal space for future enhancements
Flexible electronics to use our latest fluxgate sensors
Rate-of-Turn data for AIS or for Off-Course Alarms
Boot-loadable software for field upgrades or customisationIt continues to have the essential features of the original A5020:
both NMEA-0183 and AD-10 data
fast response for autopilots
auto-calibration
tilt compensated to ±45°
full range of output options
wide power input range for either 12v or 24v systems
Future enhancements are currently in development and include:
A5030 Pitch and Roll outputs expected July 2012
A5040 With Gyro to stabilize fast turns expected May 2012
A5050 With both Pitch and Roll and Gyro expected September 2012
