New Miniature Triaxial Accelerometer
Sound and vibration specialist, Brüel & Kjaer has launched a new
miniature triaxial ISOTRON® accelerometer, the Endevco model 65.
High sensitivity and high resolution distinguish the model 65 triaxial
accelerometer from comparable products. Packaged in a small welded
titanium cube measuring 10 x 10 x 10mm, model 65 weighs just 5 grams
and is ideal for structural analysis applications.
Shockproof and overload protected, the model 65 delivers excellent
frequency response for both amplitude and phase to provide users with
a triaxial accelerometer that excels in structural and component testing,
drop tests and general laboratory vibration work. Its reduced size
enables test engineers or technicians to measure the accelerations
of three orthogonal axes of vibration simultaneously on lightweight structures.
Two models are available offering 50g and 500g ranges. Specifications
include 100 or lOmV/g output respectively with high resolution (milli-g).
Typical frequency response for both models is 1 to 6000Hz ±5% (amplitude),
0.5 to 10,000Hz (±1dB). Resonance frequency is 34,000Hz and operating
temperature range is -55 to + 125°C.
Interface to the model 65 is via a single Microtech 4-pin connector with
three BNC connectors provided at the instrumentation end. Model 65
is supplied complete with temporary petrowax adhesive and a 3m cable.
Endevco signal conditioners models 133, 2792B, 2793 or 4416B are
recommended for use with this accelerometer.
