HANDS-ON COURSE INTRODUCES THE BASIC
PRINCIPLES OF VIBRATION ANALYSIS
Brüel & Kjær is running a course for engineers and technicians
to provide a thorough introduction to the basic principles of
The course takes place on 14 and 15 October 2003 at Brüel & Kjærs
training centre in Stevenage.
The demands of running plant machinery 24 hours a day requires
maintenance to be planned and stoppages to be eliminated.
Vibration analysis is now a recommended technique for identifying
the health of rotating equipment to increase reliability and
performance. Vibration analysis techniques can also be used to
improve the quality control of the product being manufactured.
The two-day course will be ideal for test and maintenance engineers
and technicians who need to understand the basic principles of
vibration analysis. Practical demonstrations of the basic principles
will be made and participants will have the opportunity to make
their own measurements on simple rotating machines.
Topics addressed during the course include:
terminology; measuring units; time domain; frequency analysis (FFT);
filters; integration and analysis techniques.
Course delegates will receive Brüel & Kjærs Frequency Analysis
Book, the ENDEVCO Dynamic Test Measurement Handbook
and a complimentary Vibration Slide Ruler.
