VersaFLEX Coaxial Cable Assemblies offer
improved flexibility and high temperature operation.
The versaFLEX family of miniature coaxial cable
assemblies from Brüel & Kjaer/ENDEVCO are
based on an improved cable design that offers
more durability, flexibility and resistance to high
temperatures.
Especially suited for applications that require limited out gassing,
with materials that have a Total Mass Loss (TML) of 1% or less
and a Collected Volatile Condensable Materials (CVCM)
specification of 0.1% or less.
The VersaFLEX cable assemblies provide extremely secure
connections via new coupling nuts that are less susceptible to
galling and twisting. A diamond-back knurl allows more torque
to be applied, and an integrated hexagonal section enables
the use of a wrench or crow's foot for even more torque.
The versaFLEX cable assemblies utilise extruded jackets to
remain waterproof and eliminate potential ground loops.
Hermetic connectors provide a strong bond between the pin
and connector shell via a fired-glass insulator. This prevents
pin pullout and ensures durability, non-intermittency, and high
temperature operation. Silver-plated, high strength alloy
conductors allow more flexures without fatigue or failure, and
can operate continuously at temperatures up to 260°C, with
limited excursions to 300°C.
In addition, as a performance option, the versaFLEX cables
can be vacuum-baked and double-bagged in an inert gas.
