The new Allegro Field PC. The Allegro was designed by Juniper Systems, a US based Campbell Scientific company, and you really do need to hold one to believe how well balanced and lightweight it is. Tough and waterproof, the Allegro will spend most of it's time at ET submerged under water. Field observations can be input directly into the Allegro. Capable of running on both Windows CE and MS-DOS 6.22, the Allegro comes supplied with 8 Windows programs and 4 powerful DOS utilities. The user accessible PC Card slot accepts Type I or II 3V/5V cards and is compatible with ATA Flash, SRAM and I/O cards. CE compliant, FCC Class A and achieving Military-STD-810E spec., and with an operating temperature range from -30 to ÷54 deg C, it really can go anywhere.
