ADVANCED MANUFACTURING UK 2009 - AN EXTRAVANGANZA OF EXCELLENCE.

Canon Communications launches UK’s first Green Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference as part of high-tech exhibition series

Advanced Manufacturing UK is the new title announced today by Canon Communications for its successful series of co-located, high- technology manufacturing events MEDTEC UK, Mtec, Machine Building & Automation, 3C, Practical Vacuum and IPOT/Vision Technology (VTX) and including in 2009, for the first time in the UK, the new Green Manufacturing Exhibition and Conference.

Being staged at the Birmingham NEC on 25-26 March 2009, Advanced Manufacturing UK “will showcase an extravaganza of manufacturing excellence that creates an unrivalled forum for high-technology manufacturing,” says Mark Temple-Smith, Canon Communications’ Event Director Europe and Asia.

The Green Manufacturing Exhibition will feature over 100 exhibitors providing the full range of products and services required to achieve sustainable manufacturing processes and facilitate the introduction of eco-friendly products.

Technologies on display will include practical solutions to reduce, reuse and recycle, as well as pioneering developments such as new bio-materials and fuels, wind and solar alternative energy, new recycling equipment and control software.

Green Manufacturing will be co-located with Canon’s established annual series of manufacturing-focused events that together represent the UK’s largest annual gathering of 400 exhibitors providing solutions to the UK’s advanced manufacturing industry.

The MEDTEC UK, MTEC, Machine Building & Automation, 3C, Practical Vacuum and IPOT/Vision Technology (VTX) exhibitions and education programmes are dedicated to meeting the needs of, for example, users in the medical device, life sciences, aerospace, defence, instrumentation, electronics and industrial equipment industry sectors.

On display each year is a comprehensive array of software, robotics, automation, process equipment and quality control technology required to compete in today’s global marketplace.

“Now,” says Mark Temple-Smith, “with the addition of Green Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing UK will reinforce its position as the biggest and best product and information resource for the UK’s advanced manufacturing establishments.

“In order to compete globally, UK companies must continue to accelerate product design and manufacturing processes to achieve the highest degree of efficiencies and quality control. Advanced Manufacturing UK will provide all of that and, with Green Manufacturing, advanced manufacturers can get ahead of the regulatory curve, achieve significant cost savings and introduce a range of new eco-friendly products to a ready marketplace.”
