
Crydom Magnetics acquiries TAV Engineering.
Crydom Magnetics, the Dorset UK manufacturer of
reed switches, reed relays and liquid level & flow
sensors, announces the acquisition of TAV Engineering Ltd.
With a staff of 17, based on an 8,000 square foot facility in
Christchurch, Dorset, TAV Engineering Ltd. produce a range
of high quality purpose built fluid level sensors - designed and
manufactured to customer's requirements.
With over 500 products, including liquid level control switches,
float switches, solids gauging equipment and drain valves, the
range is designed and manufactured to industry standard
approvals such as ATEX for hazardous area applications.
Each product is designed and manufactured under an ISO9001
approved quality management system.
The deal signed 2nd July, "doubles Crydom Magnetics' turnover
in the fluids handling market and broadens our existing product
range into more industrial applications such as petrochemical,
hydraulics, power, marine and the railway industry" said Mark
Jamson, Managing Director of Crydom Magnetics Ltd.
"We plan to expand further our in-house manufactured standard
range of liquid level and flow products using the design and
manufacturing expertise and production processes available
at TAV Engineering".
Crydom Magnetics Ltd. has recently been awarded the new
ISO9001:2000 quality standard from the British Standards Institute.
