USB modules with 24-bit technology - and data logging software included!

Complete Solutions with 2 to 48 Channels for High-Accuracy Temperature Data Acquisition

Data Translation offers three USB data acquisition modules as complete high-accuracy temperature measurement solutions including the easy-to-use QuickDAQ data logging software. The DT9828, DT9829 and DT9874 modules support the direct connection of thermocouples and thermistors, and provide highly accurate 24-bit A/D technology and galvanic isolation. Available in versions from two to 48 inputs, the modules are designed for maximum ease of use. They are simply connected to a PC or notebook through a USB cable, configured through a user-friendly software application - and then ready to measure. No additional external components or hardware configurations are necessary.

All three modules are complete, ready-to-use USB data acquisition solutions. The DT9828 provides eight differential inputs with sampling rates up to 600 Hz, while the DT9829 is available with two, four or eight analog inputs and sampling rates up to 960 Hz. The DT9874 measurement instrument offers a scalable solution supporting up to 48 channels that are implemented via 8-channel boards. All modules feature 24-bit A/D converters, an integrated cold junction compensation feature, and an automatic gain and offset calibration to ensure high measurement accuracy. The measured values are precisely linearized directly in the USB modules according to the type of sensor (any thermocouple, RTD or NTC thermistor).

The included QuickDAQ software automatically discovers the connected data acquisition hardware. Users can configure all inputs and sensors and set the data acquisition parameters. Acquisition duration, sampling frequency, trigger settings, filter type, and many other features are quick and easy to customize and can be saved for future measurements.

The results are shown in both a plot and a digital display, and are recorded continuously. The software application also provides all the necessary features for post-processing of the recorded data, including autoscaling, display of multiple signal axes, and a wide range of zoom and cursor functions. In addition, the results can be exported to ASCII file format for further analysis using other applications like Microsoft Excel, or inserted as a graphic chart in documents and reports.
