Pressure Transmitters can replace Gauges/Switches.
NEW PRESSURE TRANSMITTERS ARE USER
ADJUSTABLE AND PROVIDE A COST EFFECTIVE
ALTERNATIVE TO GAUGES/SWITCHES IN PROCESS
APPLICATIONS
Druck announce a new series of rugged pressure transmitters
which combine modular design with the latest advances in ASIC
technology and surface mounted electronics. This provides a
lightweight and cost effective alternative to traditional pressure
gauges and switches, with user adjustable zero/span controls
accessible via a removable screwed end cap.
The new PTX 7900 series employs Druck's piezo-resistive silicon
technology. This has been extensively qualified and proven, for
example in aerospace and subsea programmes which demand
the highest levels of performance and long term reliability.
The PTX 7900 series features a "standardised" core which is
available in operating pressure ranges from 70mbar up to 700 bar
gauge or 100mbar up to 700 bar absolute, with proportional
2 wire 4-20mA output. User preferred pressure units and
intermediate span values can be specified between these limits
and compound (bi-directional gauge) ranges can be supplied.
Accuracy is +/- 0.25% F.S. for combined non-linearity, hysteresis
and repeatability and the operating temperature range of -40 to
100°C ambient is standard. The sensor is enclosed by an
electron beam welded Stainless Steel body and Hastelloy isolation
diaphragm. This rugged construction ensures compatibility with
a wide range of pressure media and the ability to withstand severe
operating conditions.
The PTX 7900 series offers a choice of threaded pressure connections.
These include G ½ female and G ½ male to BS EN 387-1 (DIN 16288),
also ½ NPT male or female. For ease of electrical connection, a
standard M20 female conduit connection is supplied as standard,
and adaptors can be supplied for ½ NPT or PG 13.5 female.
The PTX 7900 series also offers excellent RFI immunity, meeting the
highest level of CE marking requirements for heavy industrial use.
ATEX Intrinsically Safe and Flameproof versions are also available
for use within certified hazardous areas.
