Rangeable Pressure Transmitters now include
2-wire analogue and Hart variants, turndown
capability of <100:1.
GE Druck announce a newly expanded series of
rangeable pressure transmitters, for applications
where traditional 4-20mA 2-wire loop or Smart/HART
digital communications are required. A turndown
capability of 100:1 also allows extreme user ranging
versatility.
For example, a 70 bar range can be adjusted to provide a full
span 4-20mA output for any intermediate setting down to
700mbar, with reliable and stable performance.
Based upon the companies widely proven micromachined
silicon sensor, the new RTX 1000 series now comprises the
RTX1000 A (Analogue 4-20mA) and RTX 1000 H (HART
digital signal superimposed). With ranges from 20mbar up
to 1400 bar, accuracy to 0.075%, choice of aluminium/stainless
housing and Hazardous Area approvals, the RTX 1000 series
provides a high performance yet cost effective solution for
many industrial applications.
The 2 wire transmitter electrical interface includes NAMUR NE43
standard compliant diagnostics usually associated with premium
cost/performance devices: overpressure, underpressure or failure
conditions are indicated by a pre-defined signal level. User defined
output span is also quickly configured via a simple pushbutton
set-up routine.
The compact and lightweight housing enables, in most cases,
direct mounting to the process itself, eliminating the need for
additional hardware. Also, the choice of direct process connections
now includes male or female ½" BSP and ½" NPT connectors
and an integral Hastelloy isolation diaphragm ensures full media
compatibility in hostile applications.
For use in Hazardous Areas, the RTX 1000 meets international
safety standards with the latest ATEX type approvals. It can be
supplied Intrinsically Safe to EEx ia IIC T5, Flameproof to
EEx d IIC T5 or with type N certification to EEx N IIC T4 (Ta = 85°).
A wide range of related accessories and options include a 5-digit
LCD/full graphics display, 2 inch pipe/panel mounting brackets,
manifold valves, remote diaphragm seals with both flanged and
hygienic connections.
