IP67 Protection from New Series of
Gefran Absolute Linear Position Transducers.
Gefran presents the new PMA Series of Absolute Linear
Displacement Transducers specifically designed for use
under extremely severe environmental conditions.
As opposed to traditional Displacement Transducers with IP65
protection level, this new series, designed typically arduous
application where transducers resistance to over-travel can a
requirement, is completely sealed and guarantees an IP67
protection level.
The new PMA series uses a magnetic coupling between a cursor
outside and a cursor inside the transducer, creating a single
system called "magnetic tooth" that resists more than 20 G of
acceleration.
Elimination of the actuator rod, plus a temperature range of -40°C
to +100°C and lack of signal conditioning electronics, mean that
these products can be used under severe conditions in which
other technologies, based on a greater price/performance ratio,
are excluded.
In the PMA the above technology is combined with all the features
of a standard industrial and maintains the classic features of an
absolute potentiometer such as self aligning ball joint attaching.
These new PMA Displacement Transducers, are the result of
