Straight-forward liquid level detection
The OS-Series Optical Sensors from Gentech provide a straight-forward
solution to monitoring the presence of liquid. Their zero moving parts
help to make the sensor highly reliable and compact in design.
The sensors comprise an LED and phototransistor trigger, housed within a plastic domed window. The photo-transistor measures reflected light from the dome, which is reduced when liquid covers it. A drop in reflected light is measured by the transistor and the output is switched.
It is ideal for most sectors including: automotive, medical, industrial and consumer appliances. A range of fittings and materials are available to cover most applications.
