C16 weighing modules give TÜV-certified level measurement.

HBM’s C16 weighing modules for gravimetric level measurement in tanks enable the contents’ mass to be determined precisely, quickly and conveniently. The modules are suitable for many applications, including building material tanks or tanks for fluids or gases.

The weighing modules are maintenance free and are available in two versions: electro-galvanized or stainless-steel. Both versions come with integrated stay rods to resist horizontal forces typically occurring as a result of wind forces. Anti-liftoff devices that can be easily installed by the user are available if required.

The module’s measuring core is the self-restoring C16 pendulum load cell available in different versions. Typical options are:

D1,C3 or C4 accuracy class per OIML
ATEX95 zones 1+21, zones 2+22
FM approval (explosion protection for USA),
Overvoltage protection
Digital output.

The weighing modules are available with maximum capacities ranging from 20 t to 200 t. They can be integrated into tanks of up to about 1,200 t; depending on the design, and legal-for-trade applications are possible. An independent TÜV body has certified the permissible mechanical data per DIN 18800.
