Gateway device simplifies integration of digital weighing devices
HBM has developed a CAN-Ethernet Gateway device for its digital weighing technology components that significantly simplifies the integration in higher-level control environments.
The CAN interface directly accesses up to 128 digital FIT load cells and AED transducer electronics; the Gateway acts as the CANopen Master. Users can easily configure weighing components using the Ethernet interface that is integrated with the Gateway. In addition, remote system monitoring and diagnosis of individual components is possible using the Ethernet interface.
HBM digital weighing technology can be very easily integrated into higher-level control systems with this new Gateway.
Typical applications can be found, for example, in dosing or filling machines. The user benefits from the advantages of digital weighing technology, such as simpler internal data flows, faster and more accurate filling, as well as cost reduction.
