HBM INCREASES EFFICIENCY AND REDUCES DOWNTIME WITH NEW INTERFACE MODULE.

As test and measurement equipment becomes increasingly popular in production systems and test benches within the industry, the TIM-PN PROFINET interface module from HBM - market leader in the field of test and measurement - has a solution.

Designed to increase efficiency and reduce down time and rejects, the latest module from HBM is a compatible interface designed to be used when test and measurement equipment is integrated with a system.

Enabling torque and rotational speed signals as well as angle of rotation and power to be digitally transmitted to PROFINET, the hardware supports Real Time Classes RT Class 1 and RT Class 3 (IRT) with a bus cycle time of up to 4 kHz.

In addition, users can conveniently integrate both the torque signal and the speed signal of the measurement flanges in PROFINET networks via the same interface module to reduce module variance and increase flexibility in the test bench.

As networking of intelligent devices becomes an increasingly important issue, particularly within industrial and automation environments, the TIM-PN PROFINET interface module from HBM is suitable for use in field bus based automation and control systems, such as in test benches for electric motors and combustion engines, gears, pumps and compressors.
