New spot facing kits from Hansford Sensors reduce accelerometer fitting times Hansford Sensors has launched its latest spot facing installation kits, which have been introduced to help maintenance and production engineers reduce the time required for the fitting of accelerometers in a wide range of industrial applications. The latest accelerometer installation kits feature a new design of spot facing tool, with a high-wear tungsten tip, which extends operating life still further, while enhancing the precision with which each sensor can be fitted. The kit also includes tapping drill, taps and tap wrench, providing everything that engineers need to prepare the surface of the equipment to be monitored, form the appropriate mounting hole and install the sensor to ensure that subsequent output readings are accurate, consistent and repeatable. Each kit is supplied in a robust carrying case and is available with a choice of tools for ¼, M6 and M8 mounting threads.
