Small Business of the Year award

The Small Business of the Year at the Business Excellence Awards ceremony, which took place on 27th September. The awards were established to celebrate regional growth, success and innovation.

The recognition of Hansford Sensors as Small Business of the Year is a ringing endorsement of the company’s achievements as a strong business that provides vibration monitoring solutions backed by excellent customer service.

“We’re delighted to have won this award,” said Chris Hansford, Managing Director, Hansford Sensors. “Our mission statement is to be recognised as an international centre of excellence in vibration monitoring and so we’re especially delighted to be recognised by the Business Excellence Awards.”

The awards were presented by ex-cabinet minister Michael Portillo at a gala awards dinner at Shendish Manor, Aspley, Hertfordshire. Prior to the presentation co-chairs of the BEA Jackie Withey and Julie Gingell praised the quality of service to both customers and staff provided by Hansford Sensors and fellow nominees: “Customers have enjoyed greater product and service quality. Staff members have been inspired to even greater career achievement. And the businesses themselves have benefitted from growth in all directions, from profit to reputation to international reach.”

Established in 2006, Hansford Sensors has already become a global market leader in vibration monitoring. Led by Managing Director Chris Hansford, who has over 30 years of involvement in the vibration monitoring industry, Hansford Sensors offers a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of industrial vibration sensors for various applications.
