New 31 Series Flame Proof Shaft Encoder.
Hohner Corp, a leader in the manufacturing of optical
encoders for hazardous areas has released a new
flame proof device to compliment its existing range
of intrinsically safe and flame/explosion proof encoders.
The 31 series shaft encoder is available in incremental and
absolute models certified to CENELEC standards with
classifications for EEx d IIC T6 and EEx d I. It is also ATEX
compliant (SIRA 01ATEX1181) for use in areas where
explosive gases/powders may be present and offers ingress
protection to IP66.
Available in a 12mm shaft size, it provides an extended 5-24V
output capable of interfacing a multitude of devices from
TTL/CMOS through to opto-coupled PLC inputs. An option
is available to fit EEx Ia (intrinsically safe) circuitry where required.
