DIN-Rail Isolated
Signal Conditioning Modules
Dataforth has introduced the DSCA range of isolated analogue
signal conditioning modules, giving up to 1500Vrms transformer
isolation in a DIN-rail package.
The range consists of 96 models which accept mV, V, mA, RTD,
thermocouple, potentiometer, strain gauge, DC LVDT, frequency
and two-wire transmitter inputs. Voltage conditioners accept signals
from ±10mV up to 40V, and the current conditioners can take in
signals from 0 to 20mA.
Accepted thermocouple types are J, K, T, E, R, S, B and N, and RTDs
can be two or three-wire, types PT100 or 120ohm nickel.
Strain gauge transducers may have a resistance range of 100 to
10Kohm with sensitivities of 2mV/V or 3mV/V, while the DC LVDT
module provides excitation and accepts input ranges from ±1V to
±10V. Frequency input signals can be TTL or zero crossing, and
the two-wire transmitter module provides loop power and accepts
a 4 to 20mA input signal.
Accuracy is rated at ±0.05% while linearity is ±0.01%. All the modules
have excellent stability over time, and do not require recalibration.
However, multi-turn potentiometers are accessible to the user and
provide non-interactive zero and span settings, adjustable up to
±5% for situations requiring fine tuning.
The modules meet CE requirements, and CSA and FM approvals
and pending. They operate over -40 to 80deg C, and relative humidity
of 95% non-condensing.
