Inertial Aerosystems - PRODUCT NEWS

Solid State Electronic Digital Compass Modules. Inertial Aerosystems have introduced two new low cost Electronic Digital Compass modules manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell Solid State Electronics Centre. These plug-in miniature printed circuit boards are designed for the OEM market in general compassing and navigation. One module designated HMR 3300 is a three-axis tilt compensated compass that utilises a two-axis accelerometer for performance up to ± 60-degree tilt range. The other, HMR 3200, is a lower cost two-axis solution without tilt compensation. Both models can operate accurately in tough environments within a temperature of -40ºC to +85ºC. A UART communications protocol in ASCII format is standard. Ideal where space and weight is at a premium, they are about a third of the size of similar performance models. Other applications include marine compassing, navigation of unmanned vehicles, satellite antenna positioning, integration with GPS attitude reference, robotics and laser range finders. _____________________________________________ November 2001 For more details of this product... email our HelpDesk quoting Ref. shown below Ref: Inertial005
