New Ring Laser Gyro Inertial Measurement System.
Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new, compact,
six axis, inertial measurement unit manufactured by U.S
based Honeywell, and representing a cost breakthrough
in Ring Laser Gyro technology.
Designated the HG 1700, it is designed for full motion measurement
of land vehicles, aeroplanes and underwater craft etc and can be
used in combination with a GPS navigator for extended performance.
Designed for full motion sensing applications that require ultra
small size, low power and high performance, this innovative, full
six degrees of freedom, product incorporates three quartz linear
accelerometers and three miniature ring laser gyros. The bias
stability options are 1 to 10 degrees an hour. Output is digital
Dq,DV.
Manufactured from the highest grade materials and ideal where
space and weight are at a premium, this product has applications
in Aerospace, Oceanography, Land Vehicle Navigation and Defence.
