New Six-Axis Inertial Measurement System.
Inertial Aerosystems have introduced a new low cost
strap down inertial measurement unit that contains three
rate gyros and three linear accelerometers.
Designated MIPS33AA, it is designed for monitoring full motion
measurement of land vehicles, aeroplanes, ships, boats and
underwater craft etc. Optional motion recovery analysis software
allows operation as an attitude and heading reference system
(AHRS). Data acquisition on 16 channels can be provided either
internally or by an external module.
This innovative product is ideal for full motion sensing applications
that require low power and high performance whilst incorporating
full six degrees of freedom. The band width is 70Hz with an
operating temperature of -40 to 80 degrees C. Manufactured
from high quality proven materials, these IMU's are ideal where
space and weight are at a premium. This unit weighs only .49Kg
and measures 102 x 73 x 63 mm, and has applications in the
Aerospace, Oceanography, Land Vehicle Navigation and Defence
Industries.
