 New Indirect Cavity Pressure Sensor

Cavity pressure is usually measured with the sensor fitted
directly in the mould cavity and in contact with the plastic melt.

However, in many cases this is not possible so the pressure is measured
indirectly behind a measuring or ejector pin using a force sensor.

Kistler's new PinSens force sensor type 9204 is ideal for indirect cavity
pressure measurement and a cost-effective alternative to measuring directly.

Indirect measurement has the advantage of needing only a small amount
of space and does not require dismantling of the sensor when exchanging
mould inserts.
