Long displacement measurement range.
The new vipSENSORs operate similar to conventional
inductive displacement sensors. However, they have a
substantially shorter installation length for the same
measurement range.
The ratio of measurement range/installation length is about 50%
better than with LVDT sensors. This gives the sensor an important
advantage in conditions where installation space is tight, but high
accuracy is required. The mechanical displacement is transferred
via a moving plunger, without contact, to the rugged, encapsulated
sensor rod. The integral microelectronics evaluates the signal.
The sensor current output provides the user with a commonly used
interface to machines and equipment or for vehicle manufacturing.
