New 2 Axis Load Cell for a perfect Texture.
The F310 load cell measures axial force and torque about the
same axis. Our current design measures 50N axial combined
with 2Nm torque, with a worst case cross talk uncertainty of less
than 0.5%.
The F310 was originally developed to replace a far less accurate
system in a Texture Analysis machine, which employed two
separate single axis load cells with a mechanical linkage.
This proved to be very expensive and had other mechanical
problems.
Texture Analysis can be used in a very wide variety of testing
applications including foods (the crunchiness of biscuits or the
thickness of custard), pharmaceutical (for pills and potions),
cosmetics (lipsticks, powder and paint !).
