Reliable and Cost-effective Linear Position Sensor.
New from Penny & Giles is the SLS22O range of linear
position sensors. Available with 10mm or 20mm stroke
lengths, the spring loaded, low weight position sensors
have been designed to meet global and OEM demands
for reliable high performance in a cost-effective package.
Competitively priced, the SLS22O is suited to OEMs and
process control applications where the accurate measurement
of small deflections is required. Because the sensors are
designed for easy production they can be supplied from stock
or manufactured to order and despatched within three to five
days. For slightly longer applications up to 30mm, the company
says the range could be extended.
The SLS22O is provided with a mounting flange to allow for
easy installation, and the spring loaded shaft is supplied with
an M4 thread for attachment to a moving surface or to allow
a probe tip to be added. Using proven hybrid track technology,
the sensor negate most position sensing problems and provides
a long life, stable and predictable output, without the need for
regular maintenance or recalibration.
Produced in high strength Nylatron, the SLS22O has high
chemical resistance and the internal potentiometer assembly
is sealed to P66 for use in hostile environments.
