PICO TECHNOLOGY unveils latest addition
to PC Oscilloscope range.
PicoScope 3424 PC Oscilloscope now available, featuring
four channels, USB connectivity and 12-bit resolution.
Pico Technology, the market leader in PC Oscilloscopes, is
pleased to announce the immediate availability of the new
PicoScope 3424 PC Oscilloscope. The four-channel oscilloscope
has 12-bit resolution, 20 MS/s sampling rate and a large 512k
memory buffer. The addition of a USB 2.0 connection makes
connecting and installing the oscilloscope easy, and enables
rapid display updates. The USB 2.0 interface also powers the
unit, eliminating the need for an external power supply.
The four-channel PicoScope 3424 is the latest addition to the
PicoScope 3000 series of high-performance PC Oscilloscopes.
Its large memory buffer allows even long-duration signals to be
captured at its top sampling speed of 20 MS/s. It offers 1%
voltage accuracy and 100 ppm timebase accuracy. Timebases
from 500 ns/div to 50 s/div and voltage ranges from +/- 20mV to
+/- 20 V make it suitable for a wide range of applications, including
general analog, audio and digital design and repair. With its
12-bit resolution, the oscilloscope produces high-quality waveforms
that can be vertically zoomed to reveal even higher levels of detail.
This resolution gives the instrument a 72dB dynamic range, which
enables it to detect low-level harmonics when used in spectrum
analyser mode, for applications such as noise and vibration analysis.
The PicoScope 3424 is supplied with the PicoScope and PicoLog
software applications, a 32-bit Windows driver and support for
numerous third-party applications. PicoScope provides oscilloscope,
spectrum analyser and multimeter functions, with the ability to measure,
save and print waveforms. PicoLog turns the PC into a powerful Data
Logger that can export data to a spreadsheet or display it as a graph,
in real time or using recorded data. These programs are easy for the
novice to operate, but also contain a full range of advanced features
for expert users. Software updates are available free of charge
from the Pico Technology website.
Alan Tong, Technical Director at Pico Technology, said "The PicoScope
3424 adds 12-bit resolution and four-channel sampling capabilities
to our highly popular PicoScope 3000 range. Customers familiar with
the quality and ease of use of our existing products will find that we
have continued this tradition with the PicoScope 3424, whilst adding
new features to secure our leading position in the PC Oscilloscope
market."
The PicoScope 3424 is available immediately, direct from Pico
echnology or one of their authorised distributors, at a cost of £699
+ VAT.
