Miniature Non Contact Displacement Sensors
A button like capacitive displacement sensor is available
in thinner sizes from Capacitec of Ayer, MA.
The very thin 0.065" (1.65mm), 0.093" (2.36mm) and 0.150"
(3.81mm) thick sensors offer better access to the measurement
of conductive parts in difficult to access inspection areas without
the need of touching the product surface.
Model HPB Series can be installed on customer supplied fixtures
creating a very rugged manufacturing set-up or inspection tool for
non-contact measurement of displacement, gaps and thickness.
When used with Capacitec 4100 series amplifiers, sensor buttons
with diameters of 0.105" to 3.000" (2.67mm to 76.2mm) yield
linear ranges of 0.010" to 1.000" (0.252mm to 25.4mm) and
accuracy of ±0.20% of full scale. (10.000 V.D.C. analog output)
