Disc Brake Wear Analysis Sensors
Capacitec, the global leader in high temperature
(1000°C) non-contact displacement measurement
systems, is pleased to announce a new line of lower
cost Disc Brake Wear Analysis Sensors.
The new sensor system is capable of taking dynamic brake
system measurements at temperatures as high as 500°C in
both the lab using dynamometers and on-vehicle. By measuring
displacement variables on a brake rotor in motion, data can
be collected and analyzed to show several characteristics
including rotor run-out, thickness variations, coning, wobble
and thermal expansion.
The Disc Brake Wear Analysis System includes HPC-150C-H
high temp sensors, signal conditioning electronics and optional
Bargrafx™ software for up to eight channels.
