RDP Electronics has announced details of the MTS Temposonics Ill ‘field bus’ family of magnetostrictive position sensors. The main objective of offering a convenient and simple means of integrating with industry-standard networks has been achieved by providing CANbus, DeviceNet, SSI and Prof ibus-DP protocols. These sensors allow systems designers to measure displacement from 50mm to 7.7m at high speed with excellent resolution and absolute positioning with accuracies of ± 0.01%.
