Sensing Technology 2012
Bigger and better: everything under one roof at Sensing Technology 2012
Sensing Technology 2012, the UK's only dedicated sensors, test, measurement and instrumentation exhibition is taking place on 25-26th September 2012 in Hall 3 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Launched in 2010 to cover all aspects of sensors and their associated technologies, Sensing Technology 2012 is returning bigger and better than ever before! This year's must-attend event has been extended to include all aspects of instrumentation and September's show will feature key product areas such as test and measurement solutions, calibrators, analysis and metering products, microscopes and much more. In addition to expanding the content of the show, visitors with multiple areas of interest will be able to experience a number of new technologies all under the one roof, thanks to an exciting co-location with TCT Live, MM Live, NANO Live, MEMS Live and Mediplas. The PPMA show will also be held in a nearby hall at the same venue. This co-location will mean attendees from a variety of sectors can satisfy all of their instrumentation needs in one go, reducing the time and cost incurred in visiting a number of shows throughout the year.
Trident Exhibitions Ltd, event and conference organisers for over 30 years, and Datateam Business Media Ltd, publisher of 30 trade magazines including 12 titles in the industrial sector such as Instrumentation and Automation, are joining forces to run the free-to-attend national exhibition.
Kathy Ambrose, Publishing Director, Datateam Business Media Ltd said: "We understand the budget constraints that industry as a whole is experiencing at the moment, but innovation must continue. Sensing Technology 2012 will be a great networking platform whilst showcasing some of the best products in the sensor and instrumentation sectors."
Ambrose continued: "A central UK location offers national companies the best access to the only dedicated sensors, measurement, control and Instrumentation exhibition in the UK, and we are looking forward to welcoming our exhibitors and attendees for what we believe will be our best Sensing Technology show yet."
The show features a packed exhibitor list of sensor and instrumentation industry experts, including Huba Control AG, Aeroflex, Bronkhurst UK, Igus UK, Micro Epsilon, National Instruments and Sensors UK and attendees can register for free online at www.sensingtechnology.co.uk/register.
Show attendees can look forward to a range of exciting products on display including Burkert's modular multiCELL transmitter type 8619 with a new input board, as well as Bronkhorst's range of flow products, including a miniature Coriolis mass flow sensor and next generation flow and pressure controllers. Micro-Hybrid Electronic, developer and producer of a range of standard and customer specific infrared sensor components and modules will also be showing products, including single, dual and quad thermopiles, pyrodetectors and thermopile arrays for IR-spectroscopy.
Andy Mangell, managing director of Bronkhorst, a company which wants to build on the success of the 2011 event, added: "For Bronkhorst, with such a broad customer base across virtually all aspects of industry, the prospect of being able to share our transferable knowledge is exciting. Sometimes the basic requirements of the electronics, food, medical and pharmaceutical industries can be remarkably similar, even if they end up being packaged slightly differently. The need for commercially competitive, quality, long-life product solutions crosses many industry boundaries and I believe Sensing Technology 2012 can bring many of them together all in one place."
As well a host of key exhibitors, Sensing Technology 2012 will be offering a Seminar Suite with knowledgeable speakers from a variety of backgrounds holding presentations on a wide array of subjects.
Following each seminar, the floor will be opened up to questions and discussions with those attending. Details of the seminars along with all the latest show news and other key information can be found on the event website at www.sensingtechnology.co.uk
