Glass detecting sensor with lots of bottle.
The latest from the Sensopart line of F20 sensors is
a retro-reflective device designed for the detection
of transparent materials, especially glass containers.
The miniature sensor uses the auto-collimation principle allowing
it to detect transparent materials of any shape throughout the
entire detection range. Reflections of mirroring surfaces are
effectively suppressed by the polarisation filter fitted to the sensor
window.
It has been specifically designed for applications in bottle detection
in bottling plants, ampullas detection in the pharmaceutical industry
and sensing of transparent foils in the food industry.
Measuring just 32 x 20 x 12mm, the compact FR20 RG1 sensor
fits easily into restricted spaces. It has a working distance of
5 to 500mm and is temperature compensated to ensure reliable
switching throughout the entire temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
It uses red light 660nm pulsed and its contacts are selectable as
'normally open' or 'normally closed', with small hysteresis over the
switching cycle. It can be configured easily and conveniently per
Teach-in.
Robustly constructed in ABS material and offering protection to IP67,
the FR20 is available with a choice of connector or cable fittings.
