Sherborne Sensors achieves AS9100C certification for precision
Inclinometers, Accelerometers and Force Transducers

Sherborne Sensors, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of sensors for military, aerospace and industrial applications, has successfully completed
AS9100 Rev C certification, the internationally recognised quality management system for commercial aviation, space and defence organisations. The AS9100 standard includes the fundamental ISO9001 quality management standard, as well as nearly 100 additional
requirements specifically designed to address the stringent, complex and unique demands of the defense and commercial aerospace industry and has recently been completely revised to Rev C.

“The defence and commercial aerospace sectors are highly-regulated, so to be considered seriously as a supplier in this market it is critical that we are able to demonstrate compliance with Quality Management Systems such as AS9100C,” says Mike Baker, managing director, Sherborne Sensors. “We were already qualified to the earlier Rev B version; AS9100C continues to provide independent validation of our
total commitment to delivering products and services of the highest possible quality and meeting our customers’ most demanding requirements for reliability.”

To successfully achieve certification, Sherborne Sensors had to demonstrate a consistent level of quality across all of its operations and satisfy auditors of its ability to provide products that meet the stringent and challenging customer, statutory and regulatory
requirements unique to the aviation, space and defence industries – including on-time delivery.

The AS9100C standard was developed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG), an industry organisation focused on achieving significant performance improvements in quality, delivery and cost throughout the aviation, space and defence industries. Agencies and organisations endorsing AS9100 include the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA), U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
