New Dynamic Force Sensors measure in 3 directions.
The new models 260A are quartz force sensors with three
separate sensing elements capable of simultaneous measurement
of dynamic force in three orthogonal directions, X, Y and Z.
The sensors has been specifically designed for force measurement in
dynamic mode in force-limited vibration testing, cutting tools,
dynomometers, engine mount analysis, biomechanics research and
modal analysis.
With dimensions from just 22.6 x 24.1 x 9.9 mm, the compact sensors
will measure up to 45,000 N in tension and compression and 18,000 N
in shear at frequencies of up to 90,000 Hz. They are available with a
choice of charge or ICP mode, which utilises integral microelectronic
circuitry providing a low-impedance voltage output.
Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, the sensors are
hermetically sealed with stainless steel construction and will operate
over a wide temperature range of -73 to 177°C.
To ease the exercise of fitting, mounting accessories are supplied with
a plain or threaded stud, an anti-friction washer and pilot bushing.
