New Displacement Transducer models added to range.
Techni Measure has added a new range of inductive
sensors from Schreiber to their existing range of
displacement transducers.
The new models offer linear measurements from 4mm full-scale
range up to 360mm, with a magnetostrictive series measuring
up to 1500mm.
Most types are available with or without built in electronics and
have voltage or 4-20mA output signals. Standard accuracy is
specified at less than 0.5% full scale, but more accurate options
are available if required. Most models are available with or
without a spring return, and many mounting accessories are
available.
The operation principle of the inductive sensors, involves a nickel
iron core shaft moving inside a coil. The displacement of this
core leads to an inductance variation in the coils and either
internal or external electronics converts this variation into a
signal proportional to the displacement. Angle sensors are
also part of the Schreiber range, which operate by the same
inductive principle.
External electronics can be supplied in either single channel
rail mount modules, or multi-channel modules, and contain the
oscillator and demodulation required for the type of sensor
without integral electronics.
These sensors complement the existing Techni Measure range
of potentiometric displacement sensors, by offering longer life
(no contact wiper), greater accuracy and environmental
protection to IP66/67.
