Load Cell for on-board vehicle weighing.
Thames Side Sensors has introduced a compact,
rugged, trade-approved load cell for 'total body'
on-board vehicle weighing.
Designed specifically for use with waste trucks, the VC6600
load cell's stainless steel, double multi-web shear construction
is resistant to the demanding physical parameters and harsh
environments involved, providing reliable, accurate results.
A complication of on-board vehicle weighing is that acceleration,
braking and cornering forces are present between the truck
chassis and the body of the vehicle. The VC6600 load cell is
designed to maintain weighing accuracy despite these extraneous
forces. Its double multi-web shear construction is highly resistant
to the twisting and side forces involved.
In addition, truck chassis are designed to flex during movement.
The VC6600 can be used in a mount which allows the cell to float
and remain unaffected. The VC6600 features a fully welded,
stainless steel construction, sealed to IP68 against the harsh
environment of on-board weighing. It has a capacity of 8000kg
and has been trade approved for commercial weighing to
OIML R60 2000, with a classification of C2.
Thames Side-Maywood is a leading specialist in the design and
manufacture of load cells for vehicle on-board weighing. The
company has drawn on many years of rigorous testing and
development to produce a range of 'total body' and dynamic
'lift and weigh' load cells that are both rugged and accurate.
