New single chip 24 bit digital temperature sensor available from Variohm EuroSensor

Variohm EuroSensor has added a new range of single chip digital temperature sensors for SMT assembly to its wide range temperature measurement solutions.

The TSYS01 series from Measurement Specialities includes a factory calibrated temperature sensing chip and a 24-bit ADC to provide highly accurate and high resolution temperature information when interfaced to a microcontroller via its SPI or I2C interface. The high accuracy temperature sensor has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, with a precision of +/- 0.1°C over -5°C to +50°C. The QFN16 sized device includes an additional input for a remote temperature sensing detector - with temperature range adjustment on request.

With low current consumption and low self heating, the TSYS01 is aimed at applications in industrial control, HVACR and heating & cooling systems, as well as automotive, medical , business and consumer equipment applications where precision temperature measurement is becoming increasingly integrated into products.

Variohm EuroSensor provides complete pre-sale and post-sale application support for the Measurement Specialities range which includes sensors for temperature, pressure, force, humidity, torque and vibration and more. A detailed 18-page application note PDF document for the TSYS01, including specifications, installation, interfacing and programming code, is available on request.

Variohm EuroSensor also designs, develops and sources a broad range of position, load, force, and other sensor technologies for demanding measurement applications throughout industry, agriculture, construction, autosports, and research.
