U2000 ULTRA LOW PROFILE TENSION AND COMPRESSION FORCE TRANSDUCER

Ideal for all force testing and high-speed load measurement applications in space-constrained environments

London, UK, 21 March 2011 - Sherborne Sensors, a global leader in the design and manufacture of sensors for military , aerospace and industrial applications, announces the U2000 series of ultra low profile, high frequency response strain gauge load cells.

Available in standard load ranges from 1 to 25 kN and ideal for use in applications where space is limited, the U2000 is a miniature tension and compression load cell that maintains precision accuracy in the harshest of environments. Manufactured from aerospace quality stainless steel and rated to IP54, the U2000 is corrosion resistant and is able to operate in temperatures ranging from -20 to 80 degrees Celsius without any degradation in performance.

“The U2000 series offers a combination of functionality, performance and ultra-reliability,” said Mike Baker, Managing Director, Sherborne Sensors. “Its low deflection and high frequency response characteristics are especially beneficial for both materials testing and high-speed load measurement applications, particularly where peak forces are being monitored. Its robust, shear web design incorporates multiple strain gauges, strategically placed to counteract and minimise errors associated with unwanted side or axial forces.”

Sherborne Sensors can customise all of its force transducers and load cells and manufacture to comply with specific customer requirements within its AS9100B Quality Management System. In addition, all Sherborne Sensors products are meticulously tested and calibrated to international standards prior to shipment, and are accompanied by an industry exclusive two-year comprehensive warranty and Guaranteed On-Time Delivery programme.
