What's next? The Future of Direct ToF Distance Measuring

The new live webinar from iC-Haus is about "Direct Time of Flight (ToF) Distance Measurement 2.0 with iC-HS" - on October 06, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM CET. It follows on the first successful ToF webinar from 2021; however, it can also be attended without these basics. Participation is free of charge.

Precise direct ToF distance measuring is one key application of the new iC-HS laser driver series from iC-Haus. These fast laser diode drivers generate ultra-short laser pulses by the use of gain switching. In the upcoming live webinar on October 06, 2022 from 9:30 to 10:00 AM CET, Uwe Malzahn and Stefan Kraus will present why the new laser driver ICs are highly attractive for direct ToF distance measuring specifically.

In addition to a live demo, participants can expect many tips on right component selection, configuration, and correct evaluation of measurement results in the lab setting. The online event can also be understood as sequel to last year's successful webinar "Taking Time of Flight (ToF) Measuring to a New Level with Ultra Short Laser Pulses", which is freely available on the company's YouTube channel

Controlling Ultra-Short Laser Pulses
Smallest pulse widths and well-defined pulse shapes are crucial for precise time-of-flight or distance measuring. The fast pulse laser drivers from iC-Haus are suitable for a wide range of applications in the automotive, industrial, medical technology, and security sectors. Their particularly easy scalability and flexible pulse shaping make them beneficial for a very wide range of applications. The pulse width is adjustable from 100 ps to 5 ns in 250 ps steps and a fine tuning with a resolution of 1 ps only. The laser driver ICs provide output currents of up to either 200 mA (iC-HS02) or 500 mA (iC-HS05).
